Juicy, plentiful, free, edible, WILD BERRIES in Southern, Oregon
One of my favorite berries found in Oregon is the black elderberry(1). They make fantastic pies, jellies, and for those inclined, WINE! Throughout Oregon and the Rogue Valley, you can also find the serviceberry(2), huckleberry(3), and salmonberry(4). Some people even have made their gardens habitable for these to grow in their backyards! Some of the more commonly known wild berries are the raspberry (pictured at the top of this page), blackberry(5), dewberry(6), blue berry(7), and the wild strawberry(8).
